Privately owned New Jersey-based technology company, Olibra, LLC announced that its Bond Bridge RF-to-WiFi control platform is now fully compatible with Alpha Motors indoor and outdoor tubular motors for shades, louvers, drapes and more. The Australian manufacturer of outdoor motors has developed a growing presence in the U.S., and this integration is expected to help the company’s adoption in the American smart home market.
The Bond Bridge device hub and Bond Home App (iOS and Android) bring smartphone control to numerous brands of motorized window shades, awnings, drapery, and gas fireplaces, which now includes Alpha Motors. Two versions are available: The Bond Bridge ($99 MSRP) simplifies and unifies control of up to 30 appliances in a 2,500-square foot home, and the Bond Bridge Pro ($379 MSRP), which can manage 50 appliances in a 3,500-square foot home and integrates with the Savant, Control4, Crestron, Elan, RTI, URC, Homebridge, Hubitat and Apple HomeKit automation platforms.
According to both companies, the Bond App is easy to use and adds both scheduling and voice-activation (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, SmartThings Apps and Josh.ai).
“We are excited to partner with Alpha Motors and offer the Bond Platform to their dealers and end-users,” adds Zohar Shinar, CEO, Bond. “The Bond product portfolio will provide multiple ways to engage and integrate. Smart home is about being open and inclusive and it is exciting to see a growing brand such as Alpha Motors embrace this.”
