Brother never rests on the merits of its product developments. Adding to its line of home and small office all-in-one printers, the company has announced its new MFC-J985DW.
Available in two different packages that balance cost efficiency and volume, the MFC-J985DW bundles incorporate its INKvestment cartridges that provide up to 2,400 black-and-white pages, and 1,200 color pages when using INKvestment color cartridges. Brother points out that no matter if the all-in-one is used in the home or in a small business environment it delivers value as high as a penny per page printing black-and-white pages and five cents per color page.
“Regardless of brand of ownership, SoHo customers haven't been shy with expressing their feelings about the price of ink and cartridge yields,” says Phil Lubell, senior director, product marketing, Brother International Corporation. “The new line of Brother INKvestment all-in-ones were created so customers can spend less for more pages, helping reduce their pain point of printing costs, while providing Super High-Yield cartridges.”
Elaborating on the packaged bundles, the company says that it offers a small bundle that includes INKvestment cartridges along with the MFC-J985DW for a street price of $199, and a larger bundle that comes with 12 INKvestment cartridges for $299.
The MFC-985DW features cloud options that allow scanned documents save to services like Google Drive, Dropbox and Evernote, wireless print options that enable users to print from their smart devices, and business featuers such as automatic duplex printing, and a 20-sheet auto document feeder for user convenience.
Users can navigate the MFC-985DW's features through its 2.7-inch touchscreen interface, and it can print as many as 12 black-and-white pages per minute and 10 color pages per minute.
