NAD says its new M17 V2 Audio Video Preamplifier Processor carries an MSRP of $5,999. Revamping its high performance home theater processor, NAD has introduced its new M17 V2 Audio Video Preamplifier Processor at ISE 2018.
The newly updated preamplifier processor features NAD's Modular Design Construction (MDC) platform to support technologies such as Ultra HD 4K video, Dolby Atmos object-based surround sound, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dirac automatic room equalization, and the BluOS wireless whole-house audio platform.
Explaining its MDC platform in greater detail, NAD says integrators can upgrade or replace circuits through an architectural design that enables dealers to keep pace with hardware changes that happen within the A/V market.
NAD M17 V2 Features Professional-Grade Design
Meeting the challenges of supporting a growing array of formats that are used in a modern home entertainment system, the NAD M17 V2 provides integrators with full HDMI switching capabilities, as well as a choice of surround-sound decoding formats, and 11.1 balanced outputs.

The M17 V2 Audio Video Preamplifier Processor also features three fully balanced DACs as part of its balanced design approach, and a separate linear power supply that helps the M17 V2 produce a silent background and responsive dynamics.
Through its BluOS wireless whole-house audio options, the M17 V2 is capable of serving as a high-resolution audio zone within a whole-house audio system. Connecting to a network via Ethernet or wireless, the M17 V2 provides users with a selection of streaming services such as TIDAL, Deezer and Spotify, MQA high-resolution capatability, and the ability to integrate into systems from its sister brand Bluesound.
Providing professional integrators with lots of setup flexibility, the M17 V2 incorporates HDCP 2.2 copyright protection, as well as 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, high dynamic range (HDR), and digital coax and optical inputs and outputs.
Some of the M17 V2's other dealer-friendly options include IR repeaters, 12-volt triggers, and RS-232 to enable installers to fully integrate the preamplifier processor into a variety of home control and automation systems.
Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) show attendees can see the M17 V2 Audio Video Preamplifier Processor and the rest of the NAD product line in stand 15-E200 during the show, which takes place on Feb. 6-9 in Amsterdam.
