The iPort $600 Luxeport BaseStation enables the iPad to be mounted and charged in either portrait or landscape orientations, explains Derick Dahl. Aesthetics have always gone hand-in-hand with technology at Dana Innovations, and that holds true with the new iPort Luxeport iPad charger and mount, which debuted at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2018. The $699 system consists of a case and stations for charging on table-top or wall. LuxePort allows iPad to blend into high-end offices and residences with machined components that are finished by hand.
The unit’s features include a security locking system that allows for total lock down of Case and BaseStation to a table or wall. LuxePort is made with a high-grade aluminum alloy.
PoE, 12V Power Options
LuxePort has expanded powering options. The WallStations have the ability to receive power from via PoE or low-voltage wiring.
The BaseStation enables the iPad to be mounted and charged in either portrait or landscape orientations. The BaseStation has an articulating hinge so iPad can be viewed at virtually any angle. The case can be secured to the BaseStation using the available security lock. The unit also comes with a 12W USB power supply and USB-C cable to power the BaseStation. While the iPad is seated in the case, all of its key functions remain accessible. Security locks on the BaseStation can affix the Case to the BaseStation to keep iPad in one place.
The WallStation's 3-inch minimalistic design allows it to blend into room decor. The WallStation powers the iPad via PoE or 24V. The Wall Adapter Kit allows any LaunchPort WallStation to be upgraded to a LuxePort WallStation. The Wall Adapter Kit can also be used to cover a US 1G Box or UK 1G Box.
Using the USB Modules on the BaseStation, two additional mobile devices can be charged.
