For this impressive primary suite project, Premium Digital Control began work in 2021, however, as one can imagine, that meant the company had plenty of challenges to work around in order to deliver an impressive AV system to this luxury oceanside condo.
“Progress on this entire building was disrupted [because of the pandemic], which eventually caused a changeover of the building’s general contractor in the midst of our project,” explains Premium Digital Control President Randy Toth.
“This led to the domino effect of interference with the workflow among trades, new relationships forged, and new building policies and allowances prioritized and accommodated for. Further delays were caused by the shortage of workers and building materials, posing a serious challenge to timelines.”
Creative Design Keeps Miami Primary Suite Clean and Comfortable
For this project, Premium Digital Audio employed Crestron Home to work with the condo’s native Crestron system. To maintain the balance of luxury and comfort, the team prioritized flush, seamless design and best-of-breed brands for the primary suite.
This includes Crestron Reference in-ceiling speakers for surround sound within the bedroom proper, its closet and marble-wall bath, and a Samsung 4K QLED TV hidden by a Future Automation ceiling mount and hinge that not only telescopes and swivels but folds away to conceal the TV in the ceiling, explains Premium Digital Control President Randy Toth.

Register Now!With floor-to-ceiling glass along the exterior walls, Crestron Shades with solar and blackout options were integrated with precision programming for hembar alignment while custom scenes were set for the owners’ arrival and departure. Crestron dimmers control the space’s lighting.
“For their comfort along the South Florida coast, Crestron temperature sensors automatically speak to the cooling system, maintaining the home at preferred temperatures,” Toth adds. To top things off, the integrator installed door sensors along the perimeter glass doors for added detection and homeowner notification.
