Origin Acoustics, a manufacturer of architectural audio and curator of design centric technology, has partnered with CEDIA and the Government Affairs Program.
Origin Acoustics announced that they will be the headline sponsor for the CEDIA Advocacy Town hall Breakfast, which takes place on Thursday September 29 in the Forks Ballroom at 7:30 a.m. on the opening day of the CEDIA Expo.
The CEDIA Government Affairs program monitors changing laws and legislation and stands up for the dealers in addition to attending state legislative sessions and city council meetings across the country to help make sure our industry isn’t infringed upon by lawmakers.
“We need to work together as an industry to make sure that we are protecting the rights of small low-voltage businesses everywhere or we could risk serious repercussions. A bad law passed anywhere, even a small town, can lead to bad laws being passed everywhere. We ignore regulation at our own peril,” comments Brent Sonnek-Schmelz, legal counsel, Origin Acoustics.
The event will start at 7:30 a.m. with a complimentary breakfast that will go until 8 a.m. Starting at 8 a.m., a panel discussion will review how the CEDIA program works and how everyone can get involved. The discussion will lead into a Q&A that will end prior to the Expo floor opening at 9 a.m.

That could have been the reality in more than 20 states (and counting) if not for CEDIA’s advocacy work across the U.S. – and the world. CEDIA is the only organization that advocates your business and ensures you can work in a favorable regulatory environment,” notes Daryl Friedman, global president and CEO, CEDIA.
