At the upcoming NAB 2022, LG will launch its UltraFine OLED Pro series of professional monitors. The global electronics company says the displays are designed for content creators and producers.
“We started with the Emmy-Award-winning LG OLED reference display and added a full range of features and functions to streamline the user experience for professional broadcast and content production applications,” says Dr. Nandhu Nandhakumar, senior vice president, office of the CTO, LG Electronics.
“The new LG OLED Pro UltraFine displays offer versatile options for a variety of visual tech applications. Each model is optimized for numerous creative workflows while faithfully reproducing the content creator’s visual intent. The result is stunning, color-rich, high-contrast content every time.”
The new product line will be demonstrated by LG Business Solutions USA at NAB 2022 in booth C2631.
LG OLED Pro Monitor Line Includes 65-inch 65EP5G Model
With a choice of 31.5- and 26.5-inch desktop models, the new professional series of displays will also include LG’s flagship 65-inch 65EP5G model.
The 65-inch OLED Pro display provides users with a UHD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate capability. The 65EP5G combines more than 8 million, self-illuminated RGBW pixels with advanced calibration capabilities to deliver reference-level images.
LG says the display comes with its proprietary SuperSign software for white balance, and the 65-inch monitor natively supports the Calman calibration software.
LG says the 65-inch model also supports 1D and 3D lookup tables (LUTs), as well as multiple color-accurate profiles for fast and easy switching between calibrated modes.

Additionally, LG emphasizes the 65-inch OLED Pro model incorporates a customizable user interface (UI) to differentiate the display from consumer televisions, and the selection of 20 calibratable 1D LUTs with Dolby Vision HDR and 100 calibratable 3D LUTs.
The UI allows users to select 10 1D LUTs for SDR, as well as 10 LUTs for HDR that can be set to different white points, PQ tracking and/or SDR gamma performance. The 3D LUTs also support a choice of color spaces, including Rec. 709 and BT.2020.
Input options include four loop-through 12G SDI ports that enable a single monitor to display up to four Full HD feeds simultaneously. There are also HDMI, IP (SFP+ and RJ45) and Genlock connections.
LG explains the Genlock option is used for on-camera and virtual production applications.
Color profiles supported include P3, Adobe RGB and sRGB. The 65-inch OLED Pro monitor also provides HDR10, Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) HDR support.
The smaller 32EP950 and 27EP950 OLED Pro desktop models can be used for HDR and SDR color timing, VFX editing, on-set monitoring, photo editing and other professional applications. LG’s business solutions division notes the 26.5-inch 27EP950 and 31.5-inch 32EP950 provide features such as VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black, and options for stable mount installations.
“The LG UltraFine Display OLED Pro is the ultimate OLED monitor for every professional’s desk, delivering the performance and features required for efficiently tackling today’s most demanding digital content tasks,” adds Nandhakumar.
