Platinum Tools, a company that manufactures hand tools for wire termination tools and wiring testing products, has introduced its NetXpert XG2 10G Tester.
This new 10G network testing device will be on display in the company’s booth (#2421) at the upcoming InfoComm 2023 show in Orlando on June 14-16, and the tester provides 10G speed certification over copper and fiber cabling networks. Platinum Tools points out that with Cat-6A networks growing in popularity integrators are increasingly in need of testers that can deliver 10G network testing.
The NetXpert XG2 10G Tester is a single device that dealers can use to test copper, fiber, and Wi-Fi networks, as well as PoE testing up to the PoE type 4 standard. Through this flexibility, Platinum Tools says that dealers only need to carry a single testing tool.
Platinum Tools emphasizes a key feature of the XG2 10G Tester is product’s capability to accept future upgrades. The company says that dealers can update the unit over time using a USB stick or Wi-Fi. The company adds the tester weighs just over 2.5 pounds and it incorporates a 7.5-inch touchscreen.
In addition, the XG2 10G Tester also provides a user-convenient form factor with hand straps and a built-in kickstand, and field-replaceable RJ45 port, dual SFP+ports, and USB ports to provide user convenience.
