Savant has recently introduced its Savant Smart Network, leveraging Juniper Mist Wi-Fi technology designed specifically for smart home integrators. This, Savant touts, is also the only wireless network solution that is able to learn over time, optimizing the network experience for users.
Savant also notes the network comes with a more efficient deployment and service model for integrators.
In speaking with CE Pro, Aaron Gutin, Product Category Director of Savant, clarified that the Smart Network uses artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud-based analytics to create data models of each smart home environment. It then establishes benchmarks for expected performance, which enables it to quickly identify and resolve any anomalies when they appear.
The network is able to process 30-days worth of data and compare performance to that data set, with the system capable of taking action should the performance be deemed unsatisfactory.
This is made available through Juniper’s Mist Cloud artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science techniques, which are made available through a Savant Smart Networking Subscription.
The Future of Digital Lighting & Control
As a custom integrator, lighting is in demand. Effective communication, education and showcasing the value proposition of LED light fixtures in conjunction with integrative control systems are the keys to overcoming challenges and closing sales in this specialized market. “We’re thrilled to partner with Juniper to bring an industry-first solution to market delivering both integrators and homeowners a truly unique, smart wireless network solution,” said JC Murphy, President of Savant.
“The best possible smart home experience can only be achieved when it is connected to a reliable and strong signal and the Savant Smart Network raises the bar on what both a homeowner and integrator should expect from their network performance.”
In its announcement, Savant also stressed the privacy and security aspects of the network, stating that while the network does access the cloud to leverage Juniper’s AI capabilities, no user data is captured or stored in the cloud.
For integrators, a direct integration with Juniper’s Mist AI allows Savant integrators exceptional visibility into the user experience through customizable Service Level Expectation (SLE) metrics which are now accessible in Savant Central Management.
This, Savant notes, should allow integrators to dramatically simplify deployment of even the most complex wireless networks, saving firms time and money.
The analytical tools provided by the network also provide root cause analysis and real-time user metrics, enabling integrators to differentiate their businesses by delivering significantly faster customer service to their clients.
Users, meanwhile, will reportedly benefit from a network infrastructure that is more predictable, reliable, and measurable.
Savant’s Smart Network is available now.
