The Commercial Integrator Expo 2023 show is rapidly approaching. Scheduled to take place on Sept. 7-9 in Denver, Colo., the new commercial AV technology event Commercial Integrator Expo is co-located with the residential trade show CEDIA Expo 2023. Previewing some of the manufacturers exhibiting at CIX2023 (booth #C1418), here is a conversation with Gina Sansivero, vice president of marketing & corporate communications of AtlasIED, who spoke to CE Pro about the upcoming joint trade event:
CE Pro: Can you briefly explain what products and services your company provides?
Sansivero: AtlasIED is one of the largest commercial audio technology manufacturers and offers a range of products designed for various vertical markets.
Our Atmosphere Audio Processing and Control System is a commercial-grade system that allows integrators and end users to control audio throughout a property. The heart of the Atmosphere platform is the product line’s AZM and AZMP Digital Signal Processors, which allow customers to control music, paging, and presets across various zones. Customers can use their favorite streaming apps to play music and then use Atmosphere to adjust volume levels and change music per zone, all from a mobile device or computer. The Atmosphere platform also offers the largest selection of accessories of any digital audio platform on the market, allowing staff to page across zones, select sources, adjust volume levels, choose zones, and provide audio inputs like XLR, RCA, and Bluetooth.
AtlasIED also offers a wide selection of loudspeakers that have been tried and tested in some of the most demanding spaces. The company’s new premium loudspeaker line, the IsoFlare Series, offers the best point source loudspeaker for any application that prioritizes sound quality. The IsoFlare series consists of seven models, including blind mount models in multiple sizes including pre-install models, and also features an edgeless grille design in either square or round and black and white options. Additionally, our new AS Series range of surface mount loudspeakers is well suited for outdoor installations with a range of sizes, colors, and mounting options. Featuring a modern industrial design, the AS series brings high-end performance and offers integrators several mounting options to make even the most challenging indoor or outdoor installations easier.
CE Pro: Why did you decide to participate in the Commercial Integrator Expo 2023 show in Denver?
Sansivero: The amount of custom integrators who address the hospitality industry including restaurants, bars, hotels, retail, and casinos are a high percentage of the CI Expo and CEDIA attendance. We are attending CI Expo to introduce our new performance loudspeakers and the Atmosphere platform to this audience specifically, as high-quality audio is imperative to creating memorable experiences in these environments.
The Future of Digital Lighting & Control

Sansivero: We offer one of the most extensive commercial audio product lines on the market. From DSPs to amplifiers to loudspeakers and wall accessories, we provide everything in the signal path, from transducer to transducer. In addition, our Atmosphere platform’s user interface, which integrators or end users can access through a mobile device or PC, offers styling similar to consumer mobile devices and is easy to use. Finally, our loudspeaker products offer premium sound and pleasing aesthetics while being durable, designed for continual use.
CE Pro: Pulling out your crystal ball, how do you see the commercial technology market evolving over the next few years?
Sansivero: AI and machine learning technologies will continue to advance commercial audio applications significantly. Many noise-canceling algorithms are already AI-based, which will continue to be improved upon. We expect AI will soon be deployed in control systems, allowing for automated scenarios where lighting, climate control, and AV settings adjust based on user activities and preferences or even in designing and commissioning new projects. Cloud-based software offerings will likely increase in popularity and capabilities while specialized DSP hardware migrates to more generic computational offerings or becomes virtualized altogether.
Are You Ready for Commercial Integrator Expo?
The significance of the Commercial Integrator Expo 2023 (CIX2023) event is important for both residential and commercial system integration professionals.
The event provides the North American residential and commercial technology industries the first co-located trade event on U.S. soil to enable convenient travel and accommodations to take part in the latest training sessions, industry networking opportunities, and the ability to see the latest products. At the co-located CEDIA Expo CIX2023 show attendees can bolster their educational credits through classes offered by organizations that include the CEDIA trade group, as well as commercial AV organizations such as the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA), and the non-profit conferencing and collaboration organization IMCCA.
Other activities happening during the co-located Commercial Integrator Expo and CEDIA Expo 2023 event include the Smart Stage, which will host a number of presentations from top experts in the residential and commercial markets, as well as the CE Pro All Star Band live music set, and the keynote presentation from Scott Steinberg of TechSavvy Global.
