Marantz, a popular manufacturer of home AV products, has announced its new CINEMA Series of easy-to-install home theater products.
The global electronics company states that its latest product line offers users a choice of products that include a flagship immersive preamp/processor with a matching 16-channel amplifier and four AV receivers.
“The CINEMA Series is the convergence of three unmistakable characteristics of Marantz heritage – exceptionally high performance, meticulous build quality, and elegant timeless design,” comments Joel Sietsema, Marantz and Classé president.

Marantz points out that all of CINEMA Series AVRs are engineered to offer homeowners high levels of performance that include 3D soundscape capabilities through the latest immersive audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Handling today’s video requirements, the CINEMA Series products provide 8K video on multiple inputs, as well as room optimization that is available on multiple inputs, and additional features designed to enhance the at-home entertainment experience.

Register Now!In addition to the products’ home theater options, the CINEMA Series AVRs incorporate the company’s HEOS platform. This built-in technology supports multiroom audio to allow homeowners to enjoy their favorite music, podcasts or sports from popular streaming providers or personal music libraries—using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or Apple AirPlay 2 from anywhere in their homes.
Externally, Marantz emphasizes the new line of home theater products feature a modern industrial design that is synonymous with its heritage, including the iconic porthole display and other visual cues.
Supporting integrators, the CINEMA Series employs a new high-definition graphical user interface (GUI) and voice control for end users that makes setup and operation easy. Marantz also notes that Installers also get access to a variety of new features such as its CI mode which protects certain settings and reduces the likelihood of service calls due to user error.
A Closer Look at the Marantz CINEMA Series of Products
Taking a more in-depth peek at the latest home theater products from Marantz, here is a summary of each of the new CINEMA Series products:
AV 10 and AMP 10: The CINEMA Series’ flagship products, the AV 10 and AMP 10 provide the ultimate foundation for home theater. Built on the Marantz proprietary HDAM technology, the AV 10 and AMP 10 work together to create a reference-level entertainment system with the 16-channels of amplification from the AMP 10 complementing the discrete circuitry and seven HDMI inputs of the AV 10 preamplifier/processor.
CINEMA 40: The Marantz CINEMA 40 is a 11.4 channel AV receiver, with nine channels of 125-watts per channel amplification. Marantz says the CINEMA 40 is a fully dedicated and immersive home theater solution that includes a stylish aluminum front panel.

CINEMA 50: The Marantz CINEMA 50 AVR is a 11.4 channel AVR, with nine channels of 110-watts per channel amplification.
CINEMA 60: The Marantz CINEMA 60 is a 7.2 channel AVR that provides 100-watts per channel of amplification. According to Marantz, the 8K AVR is suited for dedicated home theater applications and multi-purpose media rooms of any size.
CINEMA 70s: The Marantz CINEMA 70s is a slim 7.2 channel AVR with 50-watts per channel of amplification. Marantz adds the CINEMA 70 8K AVR is suited for smaller living spaces, compact media consoles or crowded A/V racks.
Marantz, along with the rest of the Sound United family of brands, which includes Denon and Definitive Technology will be exhibiting at CEDIA Expo 2022 in Dallas on Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 in booth #12009.
