With more Americans fully vaccinated—just over 46% as of June 25 or more than 151 million U.S. citizens fully vaccinated—the cell phone signal booster company weBoost wanted to find out how the public felt about going back to work.
For its research weBoost asked more than 1,200 Americans their opinions, and based on the feedback provided by the study’s participants, people are overwhelmingly positive about heading back to the workplace. According to its study, 81% of those asked stated they feel safe returning to the office. Another 44% stated they feel safe returning to the office whether they’ve been vaccinated or not.
Interestingly, employers were split on their feelings towards heading back to the office.
Based on weBoost’s numbers, one third reported they were already back in the office full time. Another approximate 30% said they are preparing to head back to the office sometime during the first half of 2021, and another third replied they had no definite return date.
WFH Remains Desirable for American Workforce
After working from home (WFH) for the past 12 to 15 months, weBoost’s research finds that after working through the pandemic, 47% will consider leaving a job if they have no choice in home and office work. Well over half of the respondents (55%) stated they prefer to work from home at least part of the week, and 40% of workplaces will offer some type of hybrid WFH/work from office work schedules.

Addressing the use of cell phones for work, weBoost’s study found that 52% are using their cell phones to make work-related calls, and 64% will continue to use their cell phones once they’ve returned to the office.
