Lenbrook Americas, the North American distributor for DALI, has announced the Danish company’s OBERON GRAND VOKAL center-channel loudspeaker.
DALI points out that its new center-channel loudspeaker incorporates a pair of its 7-inch SMC-based woofers, along with an oversized, lightweight 1.1-inch soft dome tweeter. DALI states the newly announced OBERON GRAND VOKAL center-channel loudspeaker is designed to sonically and aesthetically match its OBERON 5, OBERON 7 and OBERON 9 floorstanding loudspeakers. Moreover, the center-channel speaker also matches its OBERON 1 and OBERON 3 bookshelf loudspeakers, and OBERON On WALL loudspeaker.
“The center-channel speaker is the most important in a home cinema setup, this is where all the dialog happens and the one that connects the sound to the screen,” says Krestian Pedersen, head of product management, DALI. The OBERON GRAND VOKAL perfectly blends with the OBERON 7 and 9 creating one of the most coherent and integrated front stages available, it’s just seamless.”
OBERON GRAND VOKAL Center-Channel Speaker Produces Wide Dynamics
According to Lenbrook, the newly introduced center speaker delivers a wide sound stage, along with the ability to handle high levels of power, and Lenbrook and DALI stress, the product is capable of producing wide dynamics.
Elaborating on some of the driver technologies implemented in its latest product, DALI explains the speaker’s tweeter utilizes an ultra-light weight weave material that weighs much less than other companies’ tweeter materials to help the tweeter produce a wide, panoramic dispersion pattern. DALI also explains the woofers utilize DALI’s SMC Disc technologies in the drivers’ magnet iron pole-pieces to reduce mechanical distortion, which enable the woofers to produce, “lifelike vocals” and precise imaging capabilities.

Register Now!ÂDALI adds the 4-ohm OBERON GRAND VOKAL center-channel loudspeaker is rated to deliver a frequency response of 49Hz to 26kHz, and a maximum SPL (sound pressure levels) of 111dB. Additionally, the bass-reflex design loudspeaker is also rated to handle a power range of 25 to 200 watts.
The OBERON GRAND VOKAL joins DALI’s EPIKORE 11 as the latest releases from the company this year.
