AVPro Global, Inc., parent company of AVPro Edge, Murideo, and Bullet Train audio/video distribution products, has announced the acquisition of the Home Audio division of AudioControl from AAMP Holdings, Inc., expanding the AVPro Global footprint in the residential, commercial distributed audio, and media room industry market sectors.
As a result of the deal, AVPro Global will assume ownership of the AudioControl Home business, which will rebrand to AudioControl Pro. AAMP will retain its AudioControl Vehicle Technology business with no change to its operations.
“The acquisition of the AudioControl Home business unit, as an award-winning company with a 45-year history of designing and building superb audio equipment, complements our existing AVPro Edge, Murideo, and Bullet Train high-performance brand positions in both the residential and commercial audio/video distribution spaces, and provides AVPro with an additional growth platform while diversifying our penetration into distributed audio markets,” says Jeff Murray, AVPro’s CEO and founder.
“The synergy between AudioControl and AVPro has limitless long-term potential, but the near-term benefits are the merging of resources to improve processes, such as production, tech support, and customer service teams,” Murray adds. “We are bringing together AudioControl’s industry-leading audio solutions with AVPro’s unmatched expertise in switching and connectivity — the result will be premium solutions that will appeal to both residential and commercial integrators.”
It had been roughly 16 months since AudioControl was previously acquired by AAMP Global last April, leading to the departure of longtime AudioControl president Alex Camara – and regular guest of the CE Pro ‘Audio Guys’ Podcast’ effective March 1, 2023.
