The Pure Fi Pro HDMI 2.1 Active Optical Cable (AOC) is tailor-made for Pro AV, high-end home theater, and gaming applications, featuring a future-proof, modular design, as well as being CL3 rated.
As stated by Bill Huang, CEO of Pure Fi, the modularity holds a twofold purpose. The first is to streamline in-wall installations. Detachable Tx and Rx modules mean installers only need to fish cable that is less than .2 inch thin for easy in-wall and ceiling installation, as the cable forgoes the need of bulky HDMI connectors.
The second is to act as a future-proof AV investment thanks to the detachable cable connectors that can be discarded in the future without abandoning the existing cabling.
The cables themselves remain narrow and flexible, while the fiber housing and dust-proof connectors withstand moisture, heat and other harsh environmental conditions to ensure years of trouble-free use.
The cables have a throughput up to 48 Gbps, supporting 8K content at 60 Hz or 4K content at 120 Hz over distances of up to 1,000 feet with near-zero EMI.
It is also backward compatible with earlier versions of HDMI.
