Located near the center of Shanghai, and surrounded by French-inspired restaurants and shops rises an apartment likely unmatched in its technological and stylistic sophistication. Sporting that same French attitude exuded by the streets below, this Shanghai high-rise comes to life thanks to several customized smart amenities and an award-winning home control system by Sentiment Electronic Technology.
The modest-sized space comes equipped with a significant array of smart amenities, including an audio distribution system, high-speed Wi-Fi 6 network, lighting and shade control, HVAC control and a security system. Together, and with tailored programming of the Chinese home control processor, Zhengiue, by Sentiment Electronic Technology, they create a rich, gorgeous, luxurious home environment that the owner desired.
The owner can initiate a variety of scenes, such as welcome, dining, sleep, and holiday — from a variety of all-in-one keypads found throughout the home, Sentiment CEO Daniel Feng says. However, this was no simple task, as the apartment itself runs flush with marble walls in many areas, especially in the front entrance, where the client wanted a keypad specifically for when he first walked in the door.
Working with Tense, Sentiment came up with an incredible solution that matched the same French style the apartment exuded: keypads carved directly into the marble itself. Sentiment followed it up with trimless, recessed mounting hardware from Tense to provide a seamless finish with the surrounding wall surface.
He can also use the Zhengjue Chinese interface to control the systems of his home remotely. Also fused into the walls are invisible speakers from German manufacturer Cerasonar.
