The Pangea Audio Record Doctor X carries a retail price of $599.95. Pangea Audio, a manufacturer of audio accessories, has introduced a newly updated version of its Record Doctor record cleaning machine called the Record Doctor X.
According to the company, its latest product is scheduled to ship in mid-December 2023, and Pangea Audio points out the new record cleaner simultaneously cleans both sides of a vinyl record at the same time.
“For over 20 years, Record Doctor vacuum cleaning machines have represented the perfect blend of convenience, efficiency, and value,” says Steve Niemi, director of global sales, Pangea Audio, LLC. “Record Doctor X continues the tradition while offering a giant leap forward in terms of convenience and overall ease-of-use.”
Pangea Audio explains the Record Doctor X is a vacuum-based record cleaner that includes a vacuum motor, a cleaning strip, and a vacuum swing arm that swings out to vacuum the top surface of a record, while the bottom of the record is being vacuumed cleaned via a slot under the strip. The company points out the newly announced record cleaner also features a bi-directional rotation motor that is said to alleviate the need to turn the record by hand.
Moreover, the Record Doctor X also provides users with a 5-inch clamp that safely secures the record during the cleaning process, and it protects record from any potential damage.

Aesthetically, the Pangea Audio record cleaner also incorporates new design elements such as an all-new design that is highlighted by a compact cabinet for easy placement within a home space, and a convenient storage tank to enable users to easily add or remove cleaning fluid.
Other features the Record Doctor X record cleaner offers include a screw-down clamp system that protects record labels, and a new vacuum swing arm. Pangea Audio adds the record cleaner is offered in a choice of carbon or black finishes, and the unit ships in eco-friendly recyclable packaging.
